Frank Kaufer joined E.CA in April 2010 as Database & Information Systems Manager. Before that he has worked as independent consultant for information integration and analysis.
Since 2001, Frank has gained extensive experience as consultant, data analyst, lecturer, research assistant, database architect, system/database/network administrator, knowledge engineer, and software engineer in several projects and positions for and with research institutions, several industries, military, and public authorities.
Frank is also an associated member of the Information Systems research group at Hasso Plattner Institute and a PhD candidate (Computer Science) at Potsdam University.
He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Saarland University with focus on Artificial Intelligence, in particular formal logic, knowledge representation and automated reasoning. In his research he works on the combination of statistical and symbolic reasoning for the analysis and integration of heterogeneous and distributed information.
