E.CA Economics and associated ESMT faculty staff
Dr Elżbieta Głowicka joined E.CA Economics in October 2013 after six years with the Chief Economist Team in DG Competition, European Commission. She has extensive experience in the application of qualitative and quantitative economic analysis in the context of European competition policy. She provided expert economic advice in phase-two mergers in the music, pharmaceutical, retail fuel stations and agricultural industries. She has contributed economic evidence to the pharmaceutical sector enquiry and several antitrust cases in the pharmaceutical and cement industry. Elżbieta has also advised in cases concerning research, development and innovation and environmental and regional State aid. At E.CA she is working on national and international cartels and competition issues in vertical agreements.
Elżbieta Głowicka holds a doctoral degree from Humboldt University for her thesis on competition policy applied to bailouts.
